The reproduction areas are located exclusively on steep limestone walls of the subalpine and alpine levels. In winter, however, the species occupies greater diversity of environments to make short migrations outside this scope.

Difficult to locate in breeding, as it does it mainly in inaccessible areas of the Natural Park of the High Pyrenees. In winter it can be seen in towns and even in sea level. They can concentrate on the lower foothills of waiting to have the right conditions for breeding occupied territories.
