It is a bird strictly associated with relatively dense areas and extensive wetland vegetation, especially reeds; these intricate mazes, Tit mustache flying moves, usually at low altitude, or moves between the stems -sometimes acrobatically hanged from the plants – making it difficult to observe.

Bird declared extinct in Catalonia but recently has a growing population but located in a single point of one of the wetlands of Segrià.
