Species typical of rocky arctic tundra in the Pyrenees is associated with high mountains throughout the year, which occupies alpine meadows and heathland shrubs with scree and snowfields. Wintering in the lower levels are in areas sheltered valley. In areas frequented high altitude, usually above 2.200 meters in the spring, with a lower limit of 1.800 meters on the south side and three on the 1.200 meters to the north.

It is superfluous to limit forest in some parts of the Catalan Pyrenees.
