The territories of reproduction are located in mountains, relief with hills or plains, as long as there have carved rocks of varying sizes to breed, although some couples put their nests on the trees (oaks, pines and eucalyptus) or pylons .

Raptor quintessential of the Mediterranean atmosphere, especially in the pre-coastal mountains of Catalonia. In Lleida, they are especially frequent in the Pre-Pyrenees although there are some couples in the Drylands. A lot of rabbit populations in Lleida, enables the presence of immature specimens.
